9000 is proving to be a tough resistance. In the figure you can the Dow emini. The force index used in the chart displays that a short term down trend is ongoing after the down gap of today. Fundamental support at 8300. A closure of the gap would be an important bullish signal should it occur....

Filed under: Walt Disney (DIS), Media WorldI was reading an article from Fortune yesterday about Disney (NYSE: DIS) and Bob Iger. When I got to the end of it, I had the biggest feeling of deja vu that I had ever experienced. Yes, I had heard it all before. You've heard it all before, too, I'm willin...

After announcing plans to raise $1 billion in five-year notes, it makes one wonder if Walt Disney Co. isn’t struggling. If the entertainment leader is, in fact, then it might not make the leisure and entertainment exchange traded fund (ETF) the happiest place on earth. Disney (DIS) is among...

Impressive rally in the past days. I am suspicious when I see these rallies on thin volume during the holiday season. Prices have reached a critical point. We will see if they manage to continue to the upside and confirm the breakout or if they will trap one more time bulls at 9000. I think that...

Seabreeze partner Doug Kass was kind enough to send us his 20 surprise predictions for 2009. As Doug explains, these predictions are outliers, not events that have a high likelihood of occuring (if they did, they wouldn't be surprises). In late December over the past six years, I have t...

Don't look now, but ESPN.com is hurting for traffic. It's basiclly flat, year-over-year. The site saw 22 million uniques in November 2007 and only 21 million in November 2008, according to ComScore. According to Quantcast, visits are down too -- from 145 million per month a year ago, to 121 million...
